Pool Time

Last Monday, when the sun wasn't so shining it was indeed a glorious day for pool. So we put Yllac on his trunks, bought our lunch on the way, and we head out for the day to our favorite Olympic size swimming pool. (Yllac was here before he was born) So imagine our shock when we got there and it was being drained for a weekly-monday-cleaning schedule. Darn! Sometimes weekend on a Monday kinda sucks. Just a little. Because we got to enjoy the kiddie size pool all alone by ourselves. And boy, oh boy we had a blast. Like screaming on top of our lungs blast. Like splashing and lounging on the slide like it is ours blast. Like when you're alone for a very long time it really gets weird kind of blast. You know? So you see, weekend on a Monday is awesome. It doesn't suck at all.
.....I mean, seriously, having a weekend on the first day of the week does not suck at all.

The Other Night...

...Yllac and I welcomed Jayson in our most comfortable outfit ready to start our family weekend.
I sometimes feel bad for Jayson. He comes home from work, exhausted and here we are, all dolled up itching to step outside again. But he's a good man and a fun dad. And simple because we can all agree that weekends are the best and we just cannot wait to give it a good start by going out for a walk. And so we did. We walked for maybe an hour before dinner. It's those moments we get to talk about our days. I love telling him stories about Yllac and i always wait for him to tell me his. These are the moments i would love to do over and over again for the rest of our lives. Telling and retelling each other stories, and feelings and thoughts forever.
I am wearing:
thrift denim shorts and cardigan
gifted snake print top
Zara shopper bag
James moccasins in turquoise

About 5 to 7 years ago I swore off pointy heels. And all heels in general. Remember this? I was pretty convinced that they showcase the worst in my foot. So it began my new love affair and obsession with ankle boots. I still love my boots and always believe in a good pair of boots but a lady needs a good pair of heels too. I guess I must be really getting old. My "style" doing some serious spin lately. Or you know, some sort of midlife crisis in reverse. Fashion edition. You know what I mean? A sudden reassessment of making balance between your personality, your role (as a mother and wife), physical change (hello childbirth) and trends. Lately I am gravitating towards heels. I am not even sure if this is a permanent thing or a craving that once satisfied, I will never eat that food again for the next couple of months. But one thing is for sure, I am changing. Which is always good right? I know I am talking about heels and change. Shallow and deep.
sigh...
I love silver. It looks Christmas-y don't you think?
