It's All About You, Narcissism

Truth is, aren't we all a little narcissistic at heart? Why would I post millions of photos of myself here if am not one? Anyone who blogs or tweets wants to be heard. I don't know anyone who wants to fade, be ignored and doesn't want to voice out what they feel, need and think. And each blogger who makes their site public somehow wants to reach out and care about what people might think of them. I for one started this blog simply because am too talkative and felt the need to express myself. I am not a writer. All I want is to talk. I am not a fashion stylist. But I love dressing up. I don't know anything about life, but here I am sharing my thoughts about my life. I've been trying to avoid for this blog to be too personal but it is personal. 

If there's ever been one hidden agenda behind writing this blog, it's beyond clothes and shoes and dresses and accessories. I want this blog to go beyond the line of narcissism and not sound too brag-y, but I believe a good blog exudes a great, healthy dose of self esteem. I don't mean to influence. Am not even sure I am capable of inspiring people. I just want this blog to be a FUN, LOVING space for me and for you. Because in the end, it's all about intentions.

This is a hobby, not a job. If this becomes a burden then Ill stop.

As for me, this is just a diversion from the rest of my life. Blogging is personal, It's all about me, but not really.

Cinderella

If there's one thing Cinderella taught us, well aside from that one in a million possibility of a Prince Charming, it's that sometimes, all we need is the right shoes to make everything right, and also may i add - to feel a bit of a royalty.

Good Friday

You ever think that life was all about ebb and flow? Some things come to you, and some things taken away. But there are times you feel it's unfair that more and more things are taken away from you and it seem never ending. Then one day it's turns sweet and oh-so-fine, things starting happening and coming for you. One good thing after another. It never stops. Wish it wouldn't stop. 

Well my friend, i wish you're in that sweet place now, even sweeter than before. Life is good. 

D'oh! Like The Simpsons kind-of-good. Been watching since this morning and can't complain. Say keep it coming.  D'oh!

5 of 17 Dresses - Black Tulip

For someone like me that has no visible waist and not blessed with a mile long legs, tulip dresses and tulip skirts gave me the shape and length i always pray to have every Christmas, Halloween, Valentines day, Best Friends day, George Washington day, Rizal day, Oblation run day, Ramadan day(?) or even to the Chinese god every Chinese New Year, and to every holiday gods you can possibly think of. Oh and i also pray to Momma Oprah. c",) Or maybe am praying to the wrong god that's why am short?

...I don't know. But right now the Sun god is soooooo angry hot. We're in the height of summer here but all I can think of are layers, fur and more black outfit. Ambitious much?

So I got this black dress for 1.5 dohlas. Actually i may already have this kind of dress that i bought from Memo a year ago for 20$. Told yah. Thrift stores are ca-raaaay-zey!

Anna Sui

What can i say, but be forever grateful to thrift shops. I told you, thrift stores are full of mystery and surprises one will always be blown away by the array and richness of combined art, nature, and trend. And maybe, one fateful day, you'll be a lucky inglorious basterd like me, you'll find a designer piece like this one I've found late last year. Actually I've worn this many times and this is the only chance we got to photographed it properly. I love the patchwork of flowers and bright colors so it looks good and perfect as a summer dress. And it's white too. Glad to say it's a win-win-win for me.

Yes this is Anna Sui which i got for 4$. A bit expensive from my usual dollar to two dollar thrift budget, but it's Anna Sui for screaming out loud, so shelling out 4$ (or someday my liver for future fantabulous designer finds) is not that hard at all.

Voodoo

Last week was cursed, and i haven't found an antidote to stop it from spreading more this week. My internet connection is so sloooooow, took me almost 3 hours to upload these photos and my laptop died two days ago. Am in mourning. Right now am squeezing into husband's laptop, till I find a new one, which isn't anytime soon, posting will be limited and also forgive me if i can't visit like i used to.

Denderella

Isn't she lovely?

Earlier today while i was doing my daily routine: mopping the floor, scrubbing bathroom tiles and toilet, my mind would always wander to this shoe. This isn't new, actually i got this almost six months ago with the full intention of wearing it on a special classy occasion, but i was mistaken obviously. You see my social calendar isn't that exciting. I live in a small town province where everything closes before 8 in the evening. Since i won't dare walk her on a field of grass or on a damp soil, until then she's safe inside her box. As for now, ill just continue to think about when am I gonna finally slid down my big old ugly feet with this beauty. Hope it's real soon.

To tell you the truth i feel like am living a double life, between my peasant house clothes that are mostly torn, slashed and old, and here, with all the beautiful outfits in this blog. I don't know. Can you consider that a split personality disorder?

That's why i love dressing up. I get to be another person aside from the lowly Denderella left at home. When i dress up there's another me . Transformed. I feel like I own the night, even for just one night. And in my mind there's still the consciousness that id be going home again with my dog and husband. Thank God I don't have two evil sisters and a step mother. Am the good-and-evil-in-one in our house. hihihi.

Well, just glad to say that am a happy Denderella!
