I want The Power

iwantthepower

The beauty team

Well they say beauty is power - ask those who are beautiful, those who want to look beautiful and those who market products that promise to make you beautiful. After seeing so many beautiful powerful person I said to my self, YES i want the power too. But honestly beauty is HAAAAARD! hihihihi.

I wasn't born with a perfect smooth skin. In fact I suffered from acne on my early to mid twenties and it left me not just scars but horrible memories preventing me to do the things i love most. It was really depressing time for me that I do not want anybody to experience even on the worst person I know. hihihi. So take care of your skin. You can never be too young and too old to start talking with your dermatologist to come up a skin care line perfect for you. Remember prevention is better than cure.

I am more of a skin care person than make up. Well, after my long stint from acne It did not give me a clear smooth canvas so since then I focused on clearing my face free from scars and redness and these are the products I trust the most. I've tried so many and these are the only ones that really made its wonder on my "retard" oily skin.
  • I love the Mario Badescu glycolic facial wash. I use it twice a day, morning and night. And for my zits this Mario Badescu drying lotion is like magic. Just dab it on a pimple at night before going to bed and the next morning the pimple is dry, dead, kaput! Thank God! Saves my day!. hihihi
  • For toner i like using the (super skin 3) VMV Hypoallergenics Clindamycin Phosphate Retinoic acid. Again this is good for oily skin. Prevents break outs and what i love about this is, it's not sticky at all. It gives you a smooth refreshing finish. And my favorite the VMV Hypoallergenics ID lotion, a clarifying skin care for men and women. An anti-acne, anti-aging lotion that you can apply to a part of your body that has pimples and acne like on your face, chest and back. I only use this on my face trice a week and wonderfully works for me. No more break outs and no more oily skin. yey!
  • and last is the Vitamin C Time Release Capsule and Skin Boost from The Body Shop. You just can't go wrong with vitamin C right? It's good for the body's immune system and for the skin. That's all I can say. Go to The Body Shop now.

  • Before, I was using Maybelline's mousse foundation. But since they phase it out and am this close to being doomed, Revlon Color Stay Mineral Mousse and Cover Girl foundations came to my rescue. These are good foundations for light to medium coverage. I love them both cos Revlon gives me a matte finish and the Cover girl gives me this dewy look. Not shinny but dewy. Kind of a healthy pinched look. And to finish my "face", hhehe, i love the mineral powder of Revlon too. It's lightweight and sometimes i use it alone.
  • For moisturizer i love The Body Shop's vitamin E and for sunblock i use the one from my dermatologist's. It's spf 80.
  • And for my raccoon eye I discovered Hylexin 2 years ago. This is good for my late nights. You should give it a try.

  • For the make up, sorry, this is all i have. Am afraid i might over dose on blush. hihihih. All from The Body Shop. A bronzer, perfect for summer and just a two sets of blush. And you can see from the looks of it you know my favorite.
Anyway, did you know that the global beauty industry is worth $350 billion, enough to stimulate any economy. So if we stopped wanting to be beautiful , the global economy would suffer a meltdown.

So in conclusion, ladies, we hold the ups and downs of the world's economy. hihihi. c",) We've got the whole world in our hands! bwahahahahaha! (altogether now - crazy laugh. wahahahaahha)

Because girl, every lipstick you hold, every skin care product and every sunblock in your dresser is POWER! (Just don't shoot people with your perfume) You are enhancing your self image and you are fueling a multibillion dollar global industry.

So husbands and boyfs, make your wives and girlfriends beautiful so you won't lose your jobs and you'll be forever happy! Cos who wouldn't want a pretty lady by his side, right? We know you want it.

have a great day beautiful ladies, gays and gents.

Thanks for sharing all that wonderful information! I like the Mario Badescu. I haven't used it in a long time because there is nowhere near me that I can buy it. ;( I should shop on the internet more!!!

I have started using Clinique, but not sure it's working for me anymore.

Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your beauty tips. Your skin always looks lovely in the photos, i would have never guessed it was any different before.
Mine has good and bad times, alot depends on what foods I eat. For spots i just put toner on them and that seems to work pretty quickly. And if i wear makeup, its primer, foundation and then powder and maybe some eyeshadow :)

Beautiful post about your own experiences and thank you for sharing your knowledge about different products.;)
I was born lucky with a blemish free skin which I kept through to my adulthood. However, time waits for no one and now every day new wrinkles arrive. But - I have decided that those are only a charming proof to show that I have lived.;)

Wow, Denise hanep ang skincare mo! I only use the basics coz I believe that the less you put on your face the better.

I just use Clean and Clear with beads/Olay clear soap to wash my face and then Neutrogena as sunblock and foundation. Minsan Olay Total Effects pero it has an icky smell. I hardly use make-up. For my puffy eyes I use Garnier Caffeine Roll- on sometimes kasi nakakalimutan kong maglagay palagi, hehe!and for breakouts Garnier din.

I think what you eat too has an effect on the skin.
