A maxi dress, chambray shirt, basic tee, printed dress or skirt, colored pants, any flats or heels, colorful scarf, a blazer and we can create some of these looks. Yeah, I know, looking at these pictures makes you wanna kick yourself and scream, "why didn't i think of that?". Me too my friend, me too.

Is This Pretty Or What?

...this is probably my favorite Threadsense moodboard ever. Those butterflies were made of vinyl records. Pretty cool ei! These photos made me want to be 18 again, back in my old tiny room and yes, you read my mind, cover my walls and ceiling with butterflies. But sad to say, i have three boys for roommates now so this is not gonna happen.

As we all know, we can't wear much clothes here in summer. No can't do Amiga. So this jacket is just perfect for our rainy weather right now. It looks happy, enough to cheer up the gloomy mood that comes with cold season. And what else... of course I was smitten by the collar. The catch? It's 31$ plus international shipping cost. A bit expensive for my mommy-budget. So am a go out a little later, visit my favorite fabric shop, hope to find a fabric that will match this floral print and relax because my seamstress is that gooooood. When all else fails, she won't.

By the way, hello friends. How's the celebration of Father's day? The babydaddy wants a low key celebration. All he ever asked for was a crispy pata. It's been a long time since we had one, so crisy pata it is. I know it's not really the healthiest food but what the heck! We're confident we're not gonna die because we prayed for it. You know, turn the fat into something healthy. Okay don't do that.

Monday Love. Butterfly Print

Of all the animal print there is, I think butterfly is the most subtle and sweetest of all print anyone can pull off. You don't have to be fierce, you don't have to sexy to wear this print. All you need is a smile. Charing. In my most humble opinion, butterfly print is the friendliest of all, maybe because it's not an animal but an insect.

Can you think of other insect print aside from butterfly? Please, no one dare suggest cockroach.

Isn't this the cutest of all platforms? Okay, not to make any platform jealous, all platforms are cute, just to be fair and they make us all look pretty and preppy and tall and did i say cute already? Especially this one from Big Budha with those painted flowers all over the entire cork platform. I am seriously thinking of another diy on one of my nude platform, but the problem with all my diys, i don't get to see the finish product. I am that bad. Me and my projects are doomed. Or maybe what i need is a couple of extra hours. Can i have 26 hours a day instead of just 24? I am no ordinary human being. I am a challenging person, in a nice way, with lots of everyday challenges so i (please) need extra hour to accomplish some extra curricular projects of my own. That would be great. okay thanks buhbye.

Ohhh. Where do I start?

I have a feeling we can all do this look. Sometimes it's a the lack of imagination and shortage of inspiration and generally the Philippine weather, that keeps us from making use of what's available in our closet.

First, I know this look has a lot of layers. But i love layers. That's the whole point of dressing up. To decorate our body with clothes. As if I am not ambitious enough, I just don't want a single piece of clothing covering me but pile and pile of clothes if possible. But not the Joey Tribbiani kind of layering. (Do you remember that episode? Going commando and ducking in?) Just light pieces to build up volume and not the boring body tight tops and skinny jeans. There's nothing wrong with skinny jeans, it's the super tight tops i see women wear that really bugs me. IMHO tight tops and tight jeans don't mix nice. It sends a wrong signal. - that that person buys her tops from the children's department and throws it in the dryer for more shrinking power. c",)

Monday Love. About a Hat

I don't like Mondays. I don't have a good rapport with that day. I know it's not Monday's fault, so ill start with an inspiration. Maybe a photo, a pretty girl, a nice thing, a story or a person.

For this Monday, It's all about the hat. Everyone looks cool in a hat don't you think? You wake up in the morning with an ugly set of hair, put on a hat, and voila you're an instant epitome of coolness.

I think it's time for me to hunt for this kind of hat too. Or maybe a diy. See, Monday isn't so bad after all.
