Thrift shopping is a hard. The smell, the heat and hours of scavenging on piles of unsorted clothes can be a bit overwhelming to the faint of heart. It doesn't stop there cause cleaning and sanitizing of these clothes is another job that should be done properly. With these second hand clothes laundry detergent is not enough. Believe me, as a thrift shopper i know the hours spent on cleaning these thrift finds to restore it's colors and condition. Just consider yourself a clothes surgeon thus giving your clothes patient the face lift and botox they need before they come out again. It's tiring and it is a lot of work.

So when Lauren Dado (iambourgeois.com) and Liz Lanuzo (projectvanity.com) of Ukay Manila sent me this gorgeous maxi dress i was just beyond ecstatic. No more laundry for me. Yey! These girls are brilliant. Obviously they love fashion and they're very passionate about going green and so the birth of Ukay Manila. Come to think of it, these young girls are doing the dirty job for us. They sell their unique vintage finds inexpensively, clean, sanitized and ready to wear.

Thank you Ukay Manila. You truly are heaven sent. Lauren and Liz, thank you for this dress. Am ready for summer.

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to visit and shop at Ukay Manila.

Nice! Very nice splash of colors which surprisingly reminds me of the very first dress I bought from the Ukay Manila store.
