Am deeply thankful to all our readers for the continuous support and visit. I really appreciate every click, e-mails and comments. You certainly make me feel good and ... alive. One more dress and let me return the favor. So which one will you be picking?
I wish i can stay for more but that's it for now. I wish you a happy and amazing day!
Am so sorry it's taking forever. But the heat here is just crazy. I don't want to go out. I don't want to put on clothes. It's like you're being steamed everywhere you go. It's sticky, it's ew. I wish for rain. I wish for snow, for ice. I wish for cold wind. Every summer it's getting hotter and hotter. The heat is just tiring. I now shower three times a day and sleep at night is impossible without the blast of air-conditioning till the sun rises...-hello electric bill.
The only good thing about summer is i get to eat all my favorite fruit at a cheap price - Watermelon, pineapple, avocado, and ripe sweet mangoes.
Am afraid the heat is getting into my brain and my thoughts aren't cohesive any longer that i want to cut my hair really really really short. This is bad. Very bad.
.....this too shall pass.
I hope on the other side of the world, you're all enjoying your summer.
Am thinking of spring. Because spring promises new life, new beginning, hope, growth, beauty and adventure. Especially today, marks the budding of a new future for us.
Am happy. Much happier than those times I've said am happy. Is there a new word for that?
Spring is so pretty. Don't we all love spring?
....And thank you all so much for such a warm response to The Thriftaholic Shop, - another reason am so happy. Was so nervous setting up one but you made it all so easy and fun. Thank you thriftaholics!
Wearing this thrifted H&M polka dot dress saved me from being ....naked. Cos nothing's worst than seeing people dressing you with their eyes. c",) In this kind of heat you don't want anything touching your sweat glands. It is sooooo hot. Have I ever told you that I live in a country directly facing the sun and what's underneath is hell? And it's election month for crying out loud. So demons in human form lurking around asking for people's vote are everywhere. Be careful Philippines. Don't let the heat get into your senses, please don't vote for that candidate romanticizing poverty and garbage.
In my small hometown no grocery store sells fresh coffee beans. But I won't complain, It excites me even much, cos every time we run out of beans I get to dress up, drive 30-45 minutes, pass two toll gates, and get to sing Oasis' Stop Crying Your Heart Out on the way to the "nearest" grocery that offers different imported products. So am not saddened by the last scoop of our coffee, It's always a field day.
But for the meantime let's all cry our tonsils out loud... God bless everyone!
I am doing a lot of thinking, especially the last couple of weeks. Cos you know there's something wrong going on with the balance of your home when your husband asks you - when is he finally gonna wear his orange skirt that is hanging on his closet, a code for honey-what's-your-shit-doing-in-my-closet-and-where's-all-my-stuff? At first I thought something is obviously wrong with him, he's been saying that for months, so that's when i knew i had to buy him a carton box for all his clothes......
No! Am deliriously joking.
Well, since i've been getting a lot of emails about selling my clothes, many times before am always saying no, or ill think about it. The truth of the matter is, am attached to them, I just can't. But I think the perfect time has arrived that I've come to terms of saying goodbye to some of them. It's really hard. I don't know when to start sorting, am still gathering my strength to give them a good last look and put them up for adoption. Am hesitant, but yes Ill do it. Am gonna sell soon. How soon? I don't know yet. Just bear with me pleaseeeee.
So Isn't this dress just cute? I remember many years ago when pink is my black. Then i grew up and changed a bit. So today pink gave me a new perspective.
I love dusk. It is my absolute favorite time of the day. When i was a little girl and I can't read the clock, it's the combination of the bright colors blue, yellow and orange that says my parents are about to go home from work. My brother and I would wait on our driveway and wait for my dad, who's a farmer by the way, and from the moment we saw him on his bike and the peculiar over-worn look of his straw hat, even hundreds of meters away, we'd race towards him and then the three of us would squeeze together on his bike going back home,- my brother riding in front of him and me on the back.
Back in College, it was sometime dusk for my every last class. Id look at the window and see cars going by with their headlights on. Everyone had a place to go, something to do, and girls looking pretty on their cutest clothes with their man on their side, the night was just beginning.. And me, obviously sounding incredibly very lonely.Well there's something romantic and, or depressing about dusk. While the sun going down, the air smells like burning leaves and you long for someone to share it with. I am most peaceful and clear headed at dusk and a coffee on my hand is an overkill but that's the perfect scene for me as i say hello to a couple of seconds to my most beloved time of the day.
And it was also dusk that my husband and i saw each other again after ten long years since high school. So i love dusk, i love everything that comes with it. Seems to appear as thought things are changing - more exciting.
Today's a good day. We went out to grab coffee and walked (the other) Koffy late afternoon and I wore this thrifted dress i bought for 1$. Wish it could have been longer, but can't complain, cos this dress is soooo much perfect for the summer heat we have now. And by the way, am including the shoplifting dress on the 17 dresses give-away. yey! You're all very convincing and I don't want to break your heart.
Have a great week everyone! Once again thank you, I always appreciate your visit and comments.
I thrifted this for 1.5$$$. But....am torn and confused if i should include this to the 17 dresses giveaway. I really am. Cos seriously when will i ever find something like this again, right? But promise is a promise, though it might be personally unpopular for me it's still a promise. But in case of some unfortunate disaster like for example someone steal this dress, say tomorrow, of course it won't be included now wouldn't it?
Okay convince me. If I were you, would you include this to the 17 dresses giveaway?
Okay got to go. Gonna shoplift some cotton, milk, detergent soap and eggs. Wish me luck.
I should be sleeping now but adrenalin's pumping so i might as well be productive. Well, I saw a high school friend today after 16 years. It was a blast! She looked the same, more prettier and youthful and definitely happier. Seeing her once again is definitely the highlights of the day. We weren't close friends back then, cos I guess we're both shy, or am shy. But we're okay, we liked each other, we go to same church but we never got the chance to develop a deep relationship also known as the pajama party nights. Okay, honestly I don't have that many friends. I usually have one girl best friend plus (sometimes) boy best friend. That person is usually the first one sitting beside me or the one in front of me on the line and that's it, we'll be best friends forever. Promise! True story.
I don't know, I don't like High School much to be honest. Am introvert. Am shy. I don't like Math, Physics, Chemistry and P.E. Agh! Okay Ill stop, I can't remember much anymore of it. But i do remember those long letters i wrote to the boys i like. hehehe.
Maybe if i go back to High School now Id be ready. Cos now that am older, Ill have more friends and much more boyfriends and still fail Math, Chemistry, Physics but Ill pass P.E for realzzzzz this time.
