Some Days Huh?

mini burger

The picture has nothing to do with this post but it looks delicious anyway. soooo, a day from now is our much awaited family weekend. I know it's falling on Thursday, but hey every family is different and special in their own weird way haven't I told you that? Jayson's work isn't the regular 8-5. Our weekend isn't the regular Saturday and Sunday either. Well sometimes it falls on those days too, but usually it does not. Oh I miss the weekends. The real kind. The thank God it's Friday jumping up and down because tomorrow is Saturday and it's the weekends! Oh yeah, it got me thinking that we haven't had the legit kind of weekend since 2005. So that means we've been this weird for less than a decade now.

So it's our weekend soon, so I was thinking the exciting silly things we will do. Here they are:
  •  learn a new song. Given the last song I discovered was "cause you're amazing, just the way you are". Feels pretty new to me when i sing it in my version.
  • wear the false eye lashes I bought 3 weeks before Father's day, (do the math) and red lipstick and pink blush. Clooooown!
  • eat sushi and halo-halo.
  • clear my closet from everything I haven't worn in months that obviously isn't working for me.
  • lose 80 pounds in two days. (that's a great movie title too)
  • See an eye doctor. My right eye is still 20/20 but my left eye is all wonky.
  • Buy Yllac an orange ball.
  • Wear matching outfit. Dork family on the loose.
  • Eat something I don't know.
  • Mani. Pedi.
  • Make champorado.
that's it for our weekend.

How about you? What are your plans this Thursday? Work? Oh! I feel special alright. At least until Friday. Goodnight everyone.

ps,
here are some of our instagram photos for the last two weeks. Not much. It's weird to think we got something huge going on everyday in our home but according to instagram it's not much.So much for a-lot-of-going-ons because If you didn't instagram it, it didn't happen.

We are civilized people. I SWEAR!!!Ayan na. Yakapan na.
Uniform.Baby it's cold outside.
Weight lifting. @paxieness #twinshoesExtra storage space. #underthebed
Lost some weight in this picture. Maybe because my head is really that obeseYou. Complete. Me.
My little one turned 18 months today. He suddenly looked bigger today too. #wheredidmybabygoYllac was here...sneaky baby.

We're Are Super Cool On Instagram

Every girl needs a coral shoes right??? Rooiiight!Yllac misses Koffy. I miss him too. ......#andjustlikethatiamsadagain
Big couch, coffee mugs. Feels like  Central PerkI hope, the foot massage im giving him now help him sleep. #deargodplease
Ballpen snatcher. He needs to enroll at Good Manners and Right Conduct school.Daaaaaaaaah! A lot of daaaaaaah going on here.

Between you and me, I know you'll agree that life is generally good right? Same old thing come and go. Everything feels so familiar around here until a phenomenal event happened. And what's that? Yllac, my little boy has learned a new word all by himself. It's the coolest word in the whole wide world. It begins with D and ends with three exclamation points. It's Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! When he's happy he says daaaaah!!!. When he's upset he screams daaaaaah!!!. He wakes us up with daaaah!!! too. Each time he's hungry and wants milk he shouts daaaaaah!!! too. I love that word. Sometimes daaaaah!!! sounds German when he is angry. Sometimes it sounds like a Homer thing would say. Doh! He's close to 18 months now and speaking real words is taking a while. But that's okay I guess. Daaaah!!! is like one of those words that has so much meaning depending on how you use it in a sentence. Daaaaah!!! is okay for now.

So have a great daaaaaaaah!!! to you.

Thank you yllac for this once in a lifetime chance on motherhood.I miss you man,...And Panchito.

...these uber cool instagram photos sum up our ten days worth of stay in the city as we tagged along with my husband for a job training seminar. We didn't get to get out much, or see all of my friends, but we're still so lucky because one of my best friends generously adopted us for more than a week that gave Yllac two playmates who shared more than their home but all of their toys too. Being around with a whole bunch of family gave us, and especially Yllac the sense of what a normal Filipino family is (lolo, lola, tito, tita, cousins, the whole gang!) because here in our home it's always just the three of us. Mom and Dad and baby. Sometimes it could get real quiet. Well, it used to be a noisy four of us. We miss you Koffy so so soooo very much. In those ten days, my baby kind of grew to be independent and in height and in weight too. He's braver now to explore and walk around the house without constantly checking on me. He used to scream and cry once am out of his sight but having playmates gave him the security that we're not alone. It's a mircale  too that he eats real food now and that he has a regular nap time during the day and a solid bedtime without the help of DUYAN! (Yllac can't sleep witout the duyan) Am not sure how it all happened in just a matter of days but am glad we joined Jayson in the city. We knew how impossible for us (his city schedule is crazy) to spend a day as a family, but it's more unimaginable, never-in-a-million-years we'd spend a day and not see each other.

Traveling with a baby is always chaotic am a tell you, but my friends provided us a real home. Going back here in Bataan made me a little sad. I miss them so much and the city too, of course. I will always always always hate the traffic, the rush and the noise, but the variety of food and restaurant made me ache for the city once again.

Goodnight for now!

ps,
My friend is super nice because she let me steal her facebook photos during our stay. Here they are:
