Friends, I Need Your Blessings

....or I will throw myself down this road.

If you don't understand what am talking about , it's okay, It's me. You see a couple of months ago I got an email from The Philippine Blog Awards that I received a nomination for the Beauty and Fashion category, all thanks to Ezra Montemayor for nominating me. And today, a very special day, I made the final cut. See here. (Evidence????) Seriously? The Philippine Blog Awards???? Big Deal! It made me really happy to think that there's someone out there thinking of me as a "blogger". Sometimes it's difficult for me to believe in myself and in what I do. Most of the time I cringe at the thought of me actually reaching out to people, afraid am being arrogant for accepting praise and comments, afraid it would get into my head. Because seriously how can it not get into your head?

Blogging changed my life. But not really. You know what I mean?

Recently my family got hold of an old magazine where I got a little feature alongside other Manila's top bloggers. My brother was like "Ate Ikaw to? Nasa magazine ka? Paano?" (Ate, is this you? You we're in a magazine? How?) Why didn't you tell us? ...well among many-more-other questions. I have no idea why I didn't told them. I can't remember my reasons last year. I know it's a big deal, at least for me. Deep inside it is. I am happy. Am leaping with joy. I remember not sleeping out of excitement. But each time am about to tell them I shrug it all off and think it's not that big a deal. So forgive me for not telling this one to you. I tried to make a post about it, but it never happened. Again I don't know why. Guess, I really need to believe in myself more.

You see I blogged because I am a loser. I still feel the same way till now. But that's another story I will tell you soon since I am (now) confident enough to admit how much of a loser I am.

It's a crazy world out there. But am glad I have come to "meet" you all here. I am grateful for you. I don't say that because I wanna butter you up. c",) But seriously am happy doing this little thing called blogging. Am glad that through Denise Katipunera, I am able to talk about my life as a wife and a mother in a positive way and to share with you my latest fashion interests and my thrift adventures. I am happy here. Denise Katipunera is my other home and I hope you feel that you're always welcome in here.

• Okay,,,, so this is what i wore yesterday on a car maintenance check up at Toyota, and while waiting we burned some time at a nearest mall, which to my surprise is on it's annual SALE. Yey!, but no yey, cos thousands of people are frenzy crazy when it comes to ANYTHING half off price. Well, who wouldn't right? Just bought some towels and socks. hihihi. I think that's the most neglected basic need of a person. And you know what, it's really fun watching people take advantage of this discount shopping, hear kids squeal and scream, and at the end of the day we just got hungrier from walking back and forth looking for a restaurant to eat that has no line of starving shopper.
  
• So, my outfit, basically a jacket, my first thrift find two years ago. I like flowers so i bought it for 150php (3$). And this skirt and shoe i also got from thrifting a week ago. THe skirt's 50php (1$), and the leather shoe for 150php (3$). Wow the shoe is so comfortable, i walked on it for 6-7 hours and my toes are still alive when we got home. So yey! Great find, and i feeeeel soooo goooood! hihihihi.

• I got this jacket of only 50php (1$). YEY! hihihi. Well, I saw this first two months ago priced at 5$. It's a bit expensive for a thrift find, so i passed. But when i came back, it's still there. So i guess we're meant for each other. It's cheap and a bit mustard-y yellow, so yey! Perfect for what i consider the happiest color of all.
• Finally i bought myself new pants at Black Sheep Maldita. I don't wear pants these days for the simple reason that my pants doesn't fit me anymore, unless i wanna sport a sausage look, besides am not up for the challenge of tucking my stomach for hours, it's crazy, like gasping for breath. hihihi. And honestly am just lazy trying on pants, cos it's a lot of work don't you think?
• I will tell you a little secret. This morning i woke up and measured my waist. It's 28 inches. After i ate, it's 30. Why is this happening to me? Why God WHY? hihihi. So you see why i hate pants?

Man Can't Live Without a Heart, and You are my Heart

• It's been a rain-and-non-stop-heavy-wind for two weeks now. It's a life sucker, all i do is sleep. But i can't complain. Yesterday the weather's looking fine. Like little pretty colors of a rainbow after a bad storm has appeared. Not really, no rainbow, but yesterday the sun has come out later on the afternoon. And it was pretty.
• Id like to dedicate this post to our wonderful friend Leonabeybeh, as id like to call her. hihihihi. She once told me, " what else could anyone take against someone who just love unconditionally... there maybe season of shame or disgrace, pero the bottom line is, you just love!". We love you girl. There are so many of us who loves you dearly. In fact much MUCHER.
  
• ....and this post also goes out for everyone. To someone who's been confused about so many things in life, to someone who's been lied to, to the clueless and innocent, or just someone who wants something new in their life - new adventure, new passion. To the young and old, may happiness and hope be with us all our lives. To the new moms and mothers of so many years and wonderful kids, to the proud dads, life continues to grow miraculously in this world. Because in the climate of today, I think it would be good for all of us to focus on the positive, the true, the things that really last, on character, humor, commitment, and LOVE, and on the happy memories of those wonderful people we have in our lives.

We can all agree that...
Life is great, sometimes it sucks, the real world sucks, but all in all it's great!
