  • Hello! Hello! Hello! Yes, am still pregnant. Got to say the last month of pregnancy feels like the longest of all. With all the waiting and those fake labor pains makes me wanna rush everything. Was hoping to give birth this week but my good doctor said it won't happen any given day of the week. Maybe the following week? We'll see.
  • What's so amazing having this baby this December are the Mall Wide Sale. It's everywhere. Shopping has never been this good. Those tiny onesies, shoes, toys and just about anything that screams "little-weird-person" suddenly looks so divine. Yes divine. And I haven't used that word, of course except when am practicing my British accent with Koffy. He's British by the way. c",)
  • Am glad to be blogging again. Our new home feels like a real home. Though the first week was very tiring especially for me, cos am doing everything with a heavy baby to carry around. But we're good, We're finally settled. I love that this year will end so good for us - a new home and a baby. It feels Christmas already.
Btw, are we friends on Twitter yet? Id love to tweet with you. So see you there?

Some people just can't keep a secret. But i forgive them. Somehow I've got a feeling we're gonna have a boy. For me the real surprise was the day we knew we were pregnant.

And I know what you're thinking, all this time am growing the cutest itsy-bitsy-tiniest penis inside my tummy. c",)

Happy Friday ladies and gentlegays!

White Kindle and White Booties

  • You know how people from another planet shop for their summer clothes when it's winter or fall just because summer clothes are on their cheapest price? Well am kinda doing it now - only with shoes. Again, still size 8, only a size 8 feet covered with cottage cheese. Imagine???? Anyway, ten years ago am obsessed with pink tops and white sneakers. Can you (again) imagine that???? Somehow the pink phase of my life faded eventually and I can't remember the exact moment when i finally said goodbye to my white sneaker. And since then I haven't bought any white shoe. A couple of weeks ago, while doing my power-"please-make-it-normal-delivery"-walk, i saw this white boots, and it's on 70% off. Aaaaand they have it on my pre-cottage cheese foot size. So i bought it. Am i smarter than grade 5 or what? Chorva lang!
  • Speaking of smart, well I think am smart. Just because i can read. LUL. In my two years of blogging there's something about me I haven't told you about. Yes. Am a reader. I can't be sure how good, or how extensive reader am I, but am goooood. From cereal boxes, to pantie liners, to the back of Chinese noodles, to magazines, to books, to tabloids or even those books written in languages I can never understand I.READ.THEM. I can only sleep after reading. Can't travel without a magazine or a book. Even if I don't have any plans or time to read them, am just more at peace knowing i have something to read with me. It's my security blanket. But newsflash - I don't read when am with someone. I only read when I don't talk. True story. So this Kindle is a gift from my not-so-third-world brother and his wife. It's so sweet. They know me so well. They're aware I don't like phones, or phones, or more phones or more phones with camera. Clearly technology doesn't agree with me. We don't get along, but Kindle I can grow old with you. We belong together. We're MFEO. Charing!

Baby Shower

It feels so surreal to think that in a couple of weeks now, it won't be just us anymore. Us, meaning just me and my husband. For so long it's only him i think and care about, - what he likes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or just any snack. What sort of top that goes well with his shoe, or where he'd like to go, or just stay home and do nothing...those things we do for each other. For 5 years it's been just us. And now everything is about to change. Am glad and very excited that that chapter of our life is about to close, but am a little sad too, or maybe sad is not the right term. Missing maybe. Ill miss us. Sometimes 5 years feels so short and there are days it's a never-ending phase for us. It's time to put an end to it by having a baby. Our own baby - a little bit of me and my husband. That's a nice thought to put an end to all our questions.

Last weekend my best friends gave us a baby shower. It was so fun. I've never felt this much special and much loved for being bloated-ly carrying another human being. You know how bachelor/ bachelorette parties is a send off for a married life right? This baby shower signifies the end of an era for us. Not in a scary way though, maybe there's a little bit of chaos along the way but it sure feels like a lot of excitement, new beginnings and a lot of learning is about to unfold.

Last night I couldn't sleep at all. We were both awake till 4am. Am not sure if this is because am ready to pop anytime soon or my body refuses to sleep especially when my husband is home with me, or maybe because I wanted to seize every minute of us being together alone.

All i know is that there's a new chapter of our life (still blank at this moment) and we're gonna have a blast  writing on those pages soon as new parents.

ps,

we're in the process of moving to a new home and am still pregnant so everything is going to be slow. Even Denise Katipunera will take the back-est seat for now. But soon as we're settled everything will go back to normal.

Enjoy your week everyone!
